On-Ramp – The Beginning of Your Journey
CrossFit 517 On-Ramp
This program is for healthy individuals and is mandatory for those entering into CrossFit for the first time. Sessions are perform 1 on 1 with one of our trainers to ensure your new fitness journey gets off on the right foot!
There are a total number of 4 sessions to be completed. Sessions run from 30 to 45 minutes and we try hard to work around your schedule.
During your on-ramp we’ll perform in Inbody composition analysis, analyze your current movement capabilities, provide some basic nutritional information, and put you through a baseline fitness exam. During on-ramp sessions we’ll introduce the methodology of CrossFit as well as techniques and range of motion requirements for the following movements:
Squats: air squat, front squat, overhead squat, back squat (high bar), low bar back squat
Presses: overhead press, strict press, push press, push jerk
Power Movements: deadlift, sumo deadlift high pull, med ball clean
Olympic Lifting: clean & jerk, snatch
Gymnastics: pull-up, push-up, burpees, ring dips, muscle-ups, handstands, L-sits, etc.
Other Common Movements: thrusters, wall ball, kettlebell swings, rowing, box jumps, jumping rope
Please understand that all movements have modifications and are scalable to work with all abilities.
Once you’ve completed your 4 sessions, your trainer will accompany you to your first group session.
